"This wedding is about us and what we want" is something most wedding clients think but don't actually say. Some continue making plans to suit their families even when it's clearly something they're not happy about. After all, you don't want all hell to break loose on your wedding day between family members, so it's best to keep them sweet! But it's not often you see a wedding that truly is centered around the entire family, and each and every detail has been meticulously planned with care and love from the bottom of someone's heart to not only make every family member happy, but to ensure everyone, young and old, enjoys the day and remembers it for a long time.
Dave & Emma did just this.

Lovingly Handcrafted...
From the table decor that had been designed and made by Emma's own fair hands and the car that was supplied and decorated by Dave's brother, through to the photographer who was Emma's brother-in-law; every little detail had the stamp of love on it. Family members all took pride in their input into what was a truly romantic day; full of memories and laughter.

Calm and Cool
Despite the fact Emma hand crafted the entire day, she was relaxed and didn't seem stressed or nervous in the slightest. I expected Dave to seem really nervous when he arrived with his children, Jodi, Callum and Joel, but he wasnt! Then I met Emma's children Natalie and Zac who seemed really confident and excited about the big day ahead. And then of course there was the couple's beautiful little daughter Chloe! Even Emma's arrival with her Dad surprised me; they were so calm! I couldn't believe how relaxed everyone was. Which is exactly how I'd describe the entire day! How better to spend one of the most important days of your life than relaxed and totally in control?
A Family Affair
Emma walked gracefully down the aisle at Sudbury Hall to join her husband to be, who was just beaming with pride! The family were all so happy, and it was delightful to see so many beautiful children in the ceremony too. A real family affair.
The children played on the park within the grounds of Sudbury Hall whilst adults ate canapes and drank champagne. A perfect end to the perfect ceremony.
The celebrations then took place in the Meynell Ingram Arms. What a lovely country pub that was! A real hidden gem! The couple made the most of suppliers who would make their day enjoyable for every age - a DJ who actually danced with the kids and played games both indoor and out. A casino was then hired for the adults.

At Last...
The couple's first dance was to "At Last" by Etta James and boy, did every word of that song seem to ring true to the couple. Even I had to wipe away a few tears and pretend I was suffering from hayfever as Emma mouthed the words of the song to Dave!
All in all every single member of Dave and Emma's family seemed to have a great time; regardless of their age! A truly heartfelt and tremendous effort into making their marriage about just that; marriage and not letting it escalate into something where no emotion is present due to the stress of an over-the-top overly-outsourced event.
Absolutely perfect day for a perfect couple. I wish you both all the happiness in the world, and I feel really lucky to have been part of your special day. I hope you enjoy your trailer (below); not long until your DVD arrives with you!
