Overview

‘Like Us’ is an Urban Music Video that was created during a two day holiday club that ran in February half term. The students were aged from 8 to 14.  This film includes singing, rapping and dancing, which has all been produced by the students.

Synopsis

During the Half Term club, a group of pupils were set the challenge of writing, singing and producing a music track with a dance video to accompany it.  The students chose mainly to use the green screen as well as Urban locations for the settings.

Production Notes

After looking at many different types of music videos, and choosing the music, one group of students worked on the lyrics whilst another group focussed on the dance routines and the choreography.

The afternoon of the first day was spent linking the two together, and storyboarding the ‘look’ of the video, as well as choosing the locations for filming.  The second day was spent recording the lyrics and using the Green Screen to create different backgrounds whilst filming the video.
