Overview
‘One Eyed Horror' is a film that was created during a six week saturday club. The students were aged from 7 to 14. This film includes scripting, acting and costume and set design, which has all been produced by the students.
Synopsis
The six week saturday course runs from 10am until 1pm at the Derby Conference Centre. The pupils attending this course were set the challenge of writing, acting and producing a film that was based on the Theme Horror and Ghost stories, as it was created in line with Halloween. The students chose different locations within the grounds of the Conference Centre for the settings, and brought in their own costumes as well as using props provided by us.
Production Notes
After looking at different Ghost and Horror stories and discussing their favourites, the students worked on the storyline encorporating a very clever twist into the scenes to make it more interesting.
After creating a very imaginative storyline, the students storyboarded the scenes and scripted them in groups.
They then auditioned for the parts that they wanted to play and thought about the settings within the grounds and the props that they could use for the filming.
Weeks five and six of the course, students took it in turns when they weren't on set to film, direct and produce the scenes.
