Overview

‘School Rebellion’ is a Music Video that was created during a six week after school club, in the term January to February. The students were aged from 11 to 15.  This film includes singing, rapping, dancing and acting, which has all been produced by the students.

Synopsis

During the six week course, a group of pupils were set the challenge of writing, singing and producing a music track with a dance video to accompany it.  The students chose mainly to focus the lyrics on the topic of School Rebellions and used different areas within the school as the background settings.

Production Notes

After looking at many different types of music videos, and choosing the music, from a choice of seven tracks, one group of students worked on the lyrics whilst another group focussed on the dance routines and the choreography.

During the six week course another group of students spent time their  storyboarding the ‘look’ of the video, choosing the locations for filming, and planning out the storyline.

The last two weeks of the course were spent pulling the groups together, filming the scenes and recording the lyrics.
