Overview
The Ends was shot in 2007 over a 3 day period. It was a fast a furious shoot that took the crew all over London. Locations ranging from Alexandra Palace train station to Central London and then out to the outskirts. The micro budget film was the second film to be produced by Light Films costing £350 approx. The film looks at the issues surrounding loyalty and what happens when it’s misplaced. How actions have consequences and why sometimes we just can’t walk away.
Synopsis
The Ends tells the story of Steven, a typical young man living in North London. However, Steven’s life is not all that it seems. It is difficult, money troubles are never far away. We meet Steven at the turning point in his life. He has the choice to leave everything behind. Unfortunately, Jay, his oldest friend actions are going to make leaving very difficult even if he means well. Should Steven stay a help his friend yet again? Or should he just turn his back and get out while he can?
Production Notes
The Ends was written by Steven Adams and Produced by Alan Gunn-Hamilton and directed by Tom Wadlow. It was a very unique time in the life Light Films. It was the first film to be produce in the UK (The Trench had been produced in the US). It was the first step towards producing more films. It was a challenging shoot but a hugely rewarding experience.
